- About
Richard Whitehead MBE competes on prosthetics, having been born with a double through-knee congenital amputation. He won 200 metre gold at both the London 2012 and the Rio 2016 Paralympics. During his stella athletics career he has been a World and European Champion on multiple occasions and has become one of Britain’s most well-known disabled runners.
These days Richard combines running with helping disabled people to overcome different challenges and obstacles, which may otherwise prevent them from achieving their potential. In 2021 he launched the Richard Whitehead Foundation, which provides people with mentoring, equipment, and support.
